Panda Journeys is the international brand of Chengdu Everbright International Travel Service Co., Ltd. (成都光大国际旅行社), a fully licensed Chinese travel agency founded in 1987 — before the internet, before Chengdu’s first metro line, before most of the hotels we now book existed.
Those decades were spent doing the unglamorous part of travel well: holding rooms, briefing drivers, knowing which mountain road closes first in snow, and keeping relationships with hotels and guides that no booking site can see.
Panda Journeys is the next chapter — private, flexible journeys across China for couples, families and small parties from Europe, Australia and North America. Never a fixed group tour. The name is new; the ground under it is not.
